Those who experience trouble breathing can be a scary event not to understand what’s happening. Finding a medical provider that can help you pinpoint the issue is important. Polmed Primary Care – Walk-In Clinic is here to help you do just that. We provide PFT – pulmonary function testing & treatment in Palm Harbor. We proudly serve the greater Tampa Area from New Port Richey to Largo and more.
Allow us to help you understand what the PFT will consist of, what could be causing issues, and set you on a course of treatment to help you breathe easier.
What Does the Test Look Like?
There are generally two different types of tests. The most common is a spirometer that is used with a mouthpiece. You’ll need to loosen any tight clothing or other items that may interfere. We’ll ask you to form a tight seal with your mouth over the mouthpiece while instructing you on different ways to inhale and exhale. This allows us to get measurements that tell us how much air is coming in and out of the lungs, how much is left when you exhale, and the total capacity of your lungs when they are filled up as much as possible.

I’ve been going to CC, a Nurse Practitioner, Denise, and Sarah, at Dr. Kaszuba’s office for a long time now. I just want to say how I love this office. I found out about the office when I took an elderly patient here for her visit. They were so welcoming, I decided to switch to them for my doctor even though I live in Pinellas Park. I’ve always received the best care here.
