Allergy Testing (Skin Test and Blood Test)

Allergies can take a toll on you or your family every single day. It’s important to know what triggers your allergies to help you live a more relaxed and less reactive lifestyle. Scheduling allergy testing (skin and blood test) in Safety Harbor with Polmed Primary Care is a great way to pinpoint what is causing the issues. When you know what to avoid, if possible, you can have a better treatment plan in place.

Onsite Services

Our in-house lab and testing facility can schedule either blood testing or skin testing for allergies for all patients. We can have the results in a short time to help further your treatment plan.

Which Test?

There are differences in which test would work best. For example, skin testing requires you to stop taking your antihistamine for around five days before. For those with severe reactions, this can be impossible. However, a blood test doesn’t test for all types of allergens as the skin test does. Talking with your provider here can help narrow down the best option for your situation.

 What to Expect

You can set up an appointment at our office to discuss your concerns with the provider. However, we also have same-day check-in available at our walk-in clinic. The provider will discuss the daily issues you seem to have and determine the best testing option. We can test for your allergen triggers and get you on the path to better daily living.

We strive to build long-term relationships with our clients with respect, trust, and excellent care. You can count on us to offer disease prevention practices while promoting a healthy lifestyle at the same time.
